Is there any home made remedies for an occasional zit?

I rarely break out so I don't have any acne stuff but I got this zit over the weekend that is really annoying me and it's starting to hurt. Do you know of any home made remedies that I can mix together that will get rid of this thing? Is there any home made remedies for an occasional zit?
putting toothpaste onto the zit overnight will cause the zit to dry out and therefore heal faster .

Home remedy for Pimples using Orange peel

Homemade zit Treatment using Orange peel has been found very effective. Pound the orange peel with water on a piece stone and apply to acne affected areas.

mixing nutmeg and cold milk to be applied to pimples

lemon or lime juice also works as well .Is there any home made remedies for an occasional zit?
I've actually heard that putting a dab of toothpaste on a zit is a quick fix. It's because the ingriedients dry it out. I don't know how well it works, but it's worth a try.
toothpaste
Tea Tree Oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It is very effective against Acne as it contains bacteria-fighting substances called Terpenes. Acne is often caused by bacteria and the Terpenes either outright kill them or weaken them enough to be destroyed by protective antibodies. There are very little side effects from using Tea Tree Oil.

The watery gel from Aloe Vera plant is also a highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It can also be taken internally and helps clean up and detox the digestive tract. This in turn can help clear up the skin.

Zinc is taken in the form of capsules. It helps to strengthen the human immune system and to repair the skin.

Vitamin A tablets are also a natural and effective Acne cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

Vitamin E also helps in countering Acne. It is a natural antioxidant and beneficial for the skin. Vitamin E comes in soft gelatin capsules that contain Vitamin E, Soybean Oil, Glycerin, and Water.
Dab some toothpaste directly on the zit, let it dry, and go to bed. When you wake up, it will be much smaller, and possibly gone altogether.

Another remedy is Milk of Magnesia. It's a white liquid that people take when they have diarrhea. It comes in a blue bottle and you can dab a bit on the zit, let it dry, and it will dry the zit out in no time at all.

Good luck!
Hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball is a great alternative to astringent, isopropyl alcohol is great to dry it out during the day so you haven't got goop on your face, and a dab of some plain and simple toothpaste on it at night will definitely shrink it. Also, if it's really painful, you can try running a clean washcloth under some scalding hot tap water and put that over it for a few seconds to bring it to a head so it will pop. Just remember to put some rubbing alcohol on it afterward so it won't get infected.
