Any suggestions would really really help! How do I get rid of a fat lip caused by a zit?
You can try to bring the zit to a head by putting a hot washcloth on it and then popping it. However, this can lead to infection and more swelling. The best thing to do is to put an ice pack on area to reduce swelling. Put some clearasil or something to make zit go away faster. If you do decide to pop it, make sure to fully disinfect skin and hands before so it doesn't get even worse. How do I get rid of a fat lip caused by a zit?
I usually like using Neosporin....Its not really meant for pimples but I find that the anti-biotic heals them over night...Well at least for me. My dermatologist recommended sticking to white paste for brushing and it helped clear up my jaw line tremendously. If I ever use gel for a week or more, it starts all up again.
sometimes but you need something with benzoyl peroxide is the key to antibacterial agent to fight acne, in stonger 6% formula for fast action.
no i think tis a mith
it doesn't, as a matter of fact its bad for skin
Yes. A skin specialist I know said that. It has to be regular white toothpaste, tho, not gel or anything colored. He also said to stay away from dark soda pop, I don't know why.
It helps in a pinch, but you should not be using it for long term. It has to be the white paste (gel apparently does not work), but only short term quick fixes because it is so drying.
In my experience I have used this ';method'; with great results. Although bear in mind that it has to be plain ol' white toothPASTE. Not gel, etc. Some people say that it doesn't work or it can't work. I suppose like anything you'd have to try it and see if it works for you personally. There's also another product from Origins which works quite well called ';Spot Remover';. Pretty much anything containing salcylic acid will dry the little sucker out.
it does not cure acne all it does is dry out the zit and make it look even more bad that's a myth don't be fooled.
yes
its likely the level of menthol in the toothpaste...
yea it dies it out
didn't know that.
really, thats wierd.
sure it does.... Remember though, before resorting to toothpaste follow a acne regime for your face, if you run out of acne creme you can use toothpaste but I wouldn't recommend it as your daily acne regime.
That is true...the toothpaste dries out your skin and gets rid of the zit, however, unless you are putting toothpaste all over your face, it will not prevent zits from forming. Cleaning your face everyday or even twice a day pending on how oily your skin is, will keep the zits away. I also recommend a really good face cleaner. Proactive really does work, also dermalogica if you are looking for something that really works.
premade myspace
leohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02801267031142540113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2065234121562531652.post-51511980812946903182010-06-26T02:41:00.002-07:002010-06-26T02:41:33.284-07:00Everyone has zits, how do you deal with them?im 14 and i have some zits on my forhead. i wash my face every night and i shower every morning so its not from being dirty its just part of being a teen. at first i was mad but now i just accepted it and im looking for ways to try to control them. i dont have tons just like 4 and they kind of hurt when i touch them. any good creams or face washes or anything?Everyone has zits, how do you deal with them?
Well first of all- DONT touch them. Touching your face all the time just spreads bacteria and oils. And I would recomend Neutrogena Acne Washes. They work pretty good on my skin. And before you use any cleanser, put a warm cloth on your face to open your pores, then wash it with the cleanser- this will result in a better deep down clean. Also, after cleansing use a toner (Clean and Clear toner is really good). This controls redness and helps to eliminate zits as well. Good luck!Everyone has zits, how do you deal with them?
I use a lot of Clean and Clear washes and lotions. It's not too expensive, and it's effective. Go to a dermatologist though if it gets worse or if your mom or father had bad skin problems when they were your age. (I'm 14 too) Your more prone to get acne if they had it kinda bad. Going to a dermatologist will work though. Acne is more of an infection almost. Dermatologists have tons of effective pills, washes, and lotions they'll clear your acne if you keep using them.
i use nutrogena cream clenser (mornign and night)

and olay mosturizer

(nutrogena is a great brand id it has many good products!)
dude i've known you since kindergarden and your face is angel clean. your like the 3rd hottest guy in are school so shut up and just keep looking beautiful inside and out!
you could try using Clearasil but i may warn u i'm 14 and have zits ='[ and Clearasil doesn't work for me! its so annoying!
no ***** way!!!!!!!!

i didnt know every1 had zits!!!!!!!
just wash your face with warm water and soap!but u could use clean n' clear like i do!it works!
I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! How old are you?

If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.

Plus, if you are a male at 14 your body releases excess testostorone which promotes body growth but at the same time it also stimulates your oil glands to over work and thus you get breakouts.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE! Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you. I refer all my students and patients to this website: www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

Night time:

1. Exfoliate the skin

2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

5. Moisturizer

Morning:

1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Viisit the website I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

I suggest you check out the website with one of your parents.

Good Luck to you,

Michelleleohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02801267031142540113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2065234121562531652.post-62612390024854162472010-06-26T02:41:00.001-07:002010-06-26T02:41:17.067-07:00How to get rid of a zit overnight?I have like 3 zits on my head.

And i have to get some photos taken tomarrow.

Is there a way to get rid of them overnight?

Or atleast reduce the size and color. How to get rid of a zit overnight?
Stress is probably what caused them in the first place so try to relax. However, other people i know that had acne took different kinds of stuff. Thanks in advance. How come when I pluck my eyebrows, theres a black speck I have to squeeze out like a zit?
blackheads probably. Blackheads are those annoying little blackish or yellowish bumps embedded into the pores of our skin. Blackheads usually develop if your skin produces too much oil. With the start of puberty, hormones in the body become upregulated with the accumulation of the hormone by-product Dihydrotestosterone or DHT. You can extract blackheads yourself if there is no infection on and around it. Just make sure you use sterile materials and do so in a clean environment. You can begin by steaming your skin for a while over a bowl of hot water to loosen the pores and make the extraction process less painful. Be careful not to scald yourself. How come when I pluck my eyebrows, theres a black speck I have to squeeze out like a zit?
I'm pretty sure that the black speck is hair that's still in the follicle, if you get your eyebrows waxed then you shouldn't have that problem and won't have to pluck your eyebrows everyday.
premade myspace
leohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02801267031142540113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2065234121562531652.post-90019130896417350452010-06-26T02:39:00.003-07:002010-06-26T02:39:57.226-07:00Why do some of my zits stink when the zit comes out?they have a bad odorWhy do some of my zits stink when the zit comes out?
It's the pus inside the zit. The acids in the vinegar force your old skin cells to flake off, much like the store-bought ';alpha hydroxy'; products. The aspirin is my own anti-acne solution. A lot of acne products use salicylic acid, which is basically aspirin with a few small chemical differences. The aspirin won't dissolve completely, but it doesn't seem to matter. This works especially well against those big, deep acne spots which older people often get. I've been using this twice a day on my face for five years now and people are always amazed when I tell them my real age (44). One caution, though: Be sure to also use a face lotion with at least SPF 15 everyday--even in winter (Oil of Olay knock-offs are fairly cheap)--because the vinegar mixture will make your skin thinner (just like the expensive store-bought ones will) and more susceptible to sun damage. The SPF prevents age spots from forming, and that's worth the money in my book. My routine goes like this: 2 little paper cups, one with a little hydrogen peroxide and the other a little acv. I take a cotton ball and soak it with the peroxide and I then use it all over my face (like astringent), careful to avoid my eyebrows. Then I wet a q-tip with the acv and dab any pimples. It is very effective with whiteheads. I hate to throw out the acv so I drink what's left. Drink in small amounts, one big swig will leave you feeling like your gonna get sick. I know from experience. When I started this routine I broke out a lot, I think this was because it was getting all the icky bacteria and toxins out of my body. It took a couple weeks but I had faith and kept up the routine. I also take two tbs. of blackstrap molasses morning and night. I am able to go from a laying down position to sitting up on my own. I am disabled and pretty much bedridden. Is this a miracle? I think so. I have more energy and don't sleep during the day which left me feeling more tired and unable to sleep at night. I take the molasses before the acv.';

Here's a description we found on the internet of how apple cider vinegar helps cure acne. The author is unknown:

';When the blood is deficient in some minerals or biochemic salt, ill-health is the outcome e.g. boils break out, suppurating blisters become apparent, pimples appear on the face etc. It has been found however, that cider vinegar helps with the cleansing as well as the clotting of the blood. Oxidation of the blood is very important and cider vinegar is again an effective treatment for this. Besides introducing the important minerals into the blood stream, as mentioned above, cider vinegar also helps in the clotting of blood. This is of tremendous help to those people who are commonly termed 'bleeders', as they live their lives in fear of cutting themselves due to the bloods inability to clot, and it will also enhance the healing process.';How do I get rid of the redness in my zit?
Put on anti bacterial cream twice a day, I'm sure you have one at home. I get rid of them by keeping a bottle of tea tree oil handy. Put a little bit on a cotton swab and dab the areas where the pimples are. I would recommend diluting it with a few drops of almond oil, or apricot kernel oil. Tea tree oil has a very medicinal smell, but once it dries it's not noticeable. You can get it at most health food stores or specialty grocery stores, and probably some pharmacies.
It is possibly to do with the way you eat or drink. Too much sugar and bad carbs will give you zits if you are prone to them anyway. A good diet of fresh, veggie, fruit, fish and chicken, whole grains, no refined carbs and definitely no sugar and that included sodas (they are deadly-13 teaspoon of sugar in one regular soda) and no beer or a very limited quantity. Eat wholewheat bread and no white bread. Good luck. :]
toothpaste but it on a bandaid then put it over the zit it should be gone by morning make sure its minty it also takes out the redness so does crushed asprin and water paste
You actually don't have to worry about this.

Why?

Good news is they air-brush your senior photos... so you're acne free!

=)leohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02801267031142540113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2065234121562531652.post-38089370386360381102010-06-24T05:26:00.000-07:002010-06-24T05:26:25.253-07:00What is a good kind of make up to help cover up zits ?my ance is not to bad but i have realy pale flackie olie skin please helpWhat is a good kind of make up to help cover up zits ?
use a facial scrub like neutrogena Oil-free Acne wash daily scrub. it has microbeads that gently washes away dead skin and cleans deep to clear acne. for pimples that you have use a concealer that has salicylic acid in it like neutrogena SkinClearing oil free concealer. What is a good kind of make up to help cover up zits ?
most foundation and cover up makes MORE pimples

- don't do it, if your acne is ok and doesn't look too bad don't do it will make it so bad it wont be control able

-if you must use a tea tree oil based cover up,

the body shop has a really great cover up stick that actually helps prevent pimples.

-but once your cover up isn't needed any more wash your face!

first, wash your face with a very good soap that has salicylic acid in it.

after you wash your face, use Clinique dramatically different facial moisturizer . it may seem a little expensive (i dont know if you consider it to be or not) but it works WONDERS. i have very dry skin, but after the day is done, its extremely oily. this moisturizes my skin but keeps the shine and oil under control.

then use a green foundation as a base. not all over, but just on the red areas.

after applying the green, use a regular skin-tone foundation. try CoverGirl trublend.

if you want an airbrushed look, however, i suggest L'oreal bare naturelle mineral powder foundation.

if you want a bronzed look, i also suggest using Clinique bronzer

http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>

just brush it with a large powder brush (shown) to where the sun would naturally hit your face: bridge of your nose, forhead, Cupid's bow, and your cheekbones.

just dont over-do it so you don't look orange.

hope i helped [:
I %26lt;3 Bare Minerals. Go to a Bare Escentuals store or Sephora if they're nearby %26amp; have them put it on you. If not, watch the infomercial. I have found that to be the BEST make-up for covering problem spots. And if you do get that make-up, use the compact with mineral veil in it for touch-ups in case you start to shine.
Well usually for a pimple or zit that is red put a dab of green concealer on it then pat on some powder. For both these products I recommend Physician's Formula products. Use the Powder Finish Concealer in green and then put on some Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Face Powder (it works like a charm!)I have reviewed both of these products on my blog so you can go check it out! As a result, the dead skin cells mix with the oil and clog your pores, causing zits.
Theres a type of cell (can't remember the name) that goes around and essentially swallows bacteria and kills them off and that is the accumulation of those cells. Its part of your bodies defensive against infection.
Dead white blood cells. White blood cells fight against infection.
that stuff is semen
The exact causes of acne are unknown, but it is believed that it can result from several factors, primarily, an increase in hormones called androgens, which both males and females have. Increases in androgens cause your oil glands to enlarge and produce more oil. This oil can also change into a thick white substance called sebum. An increased oil production clogs your pores with oil and sebum that can breakdown the cellular walls in your pores, which causes bacteria to grow and pimples to develop.

Some researchers also believe that your chances of developing acne can be greatly influenced by genetics. The use of certain drugs containing androgens and lithium are known to cause acne. The use of greasy cosmetics can also lead to acne because they plug your cell follicles and promote bacterial growth.

Overall it is an infection.leohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02801267031142540113noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2065234121562531652.post-82157275121361895542010-06-24T05:25:00.001-07:002010-06-24T05:25:28.548-07:00How to get rid of your zits less den 2 weeks?Depends how quickly you can get in to see a dermatologist. What worked best for me that I highly recommend is: TRETINOIN GEL 0.025%, but you can only get it by prescription. When I used it for the first time I was amazed at how quickly it worked, I kid you not, I put it on all the affected areas %26amp; within days, the acne just kind of just flaked right off. Try to get an appt. to see a dermatologist as soon as possible. How to get rid of your zits less den 2 weeks?
Drink plenty of water. Wash you face twice a day. Especially if it's been a hot day, and you've been sweating. Don't wash your face with anything other than your hands (unless it's meant specifically for the face) or you may end up making acne worse.

If you get zits regularly you should know what skin care products will improve your skin, and which will make it worse.

If you don't, consider seeing a dermatologist, or asking a pharmacist about it. If you have sensitive skin, be sure to include that too. Use the medication or lotion regularly or as instructed. Every morning and night, wash your face with warm water and try to stay away from heat and smoke. This includes fire, stoves, etc. Avoid touching your face with dirty hands and never pick or poke the scabs. Try not to get shampoo over the zits, if possible. This can cause irritation.

If you're face is still reddish or has a few blemishes by the end of two weeks.. try a bit of foundation. Works on both genders. ;]

good luck. :pHow to get rid of your zits less den 2 weeks?
if you want to get rid of them quick use toothpaste

it got rid of mine in 4 days
Try Proactiv.
